The Positive Space Jacket works best with woven fabrics that have a stiffer or crisper hand, such as brocades, damasks and satins, silk dupioni or shantung. It also works well with lighter upholstery fabrics or wool suitings with a firm hand. For outerwear fabrics, such as wool coatings or tapestries, size up.

Make the collar out of the same fabric or go lighter or heavier. Or make the jacket out of a plain fabric and splurge for a collar out of pretty but expensive fabric - the collar only takes half a yard or meter.
