Get that stash under control! Whether you’re just starting to build a fabric stash, or if you have more fabric than you can use in two lifetimes, everyone can benefit from being organized. Here’s a simple FREE tool to help you keep all the vital information about your precious fabric in one place.
It’s simple card that comes in two sizes:
You can print these cards on letter-size paper or on perforated cardstock that fits into a typical printer. There are three index cards per sheet and four postcards per sheet of letter-sized paper.
I’ve used cards like this for years to keep track of my stash. By keeping track this way, I seldom forget about fabric, “lose” fabric, or buy things I already have. (Sure, I sometimes buy things I don’t “need,” but that’s another story!)
The photos show how I fill out my cards. Feel free to fill out yours to suit your needs.
Store your cards in a photo album, recipe card box, photo storage box or anyplace else handy. Sort them by fabric type, project type, yardage, or whatever else makes sense for you.
The Fabric Stash Organizer is a FREE digital download that includes a one-page how-to guide and the two card size templates. All three items are .pdf files, bundled into one .zip file for easy downloading. No paper cards will be mailed to you.
